Two Ukrainian servicemen wounded in Donbas over 24 hours

They suffered combat injuries in Shyrokyne and Starohnativka in Donetsk region

Since Tuesday morning, Russian mercenaries have been actively using mortars and missile launchers to attack Ukrainian positions in Donbas; this resulted in two combat injuries, which two Ukrainian servicemen suffered in Donetsk region. Colonel Andriy Lysenko, the defense ministry’s spokesman said that at a briefing in Kyiv on Wednesday.

According to the official, the enemy used Grad missile launchers to attack Zaitsevo (Donetsk region), firing 60 shells on Ukrainian positions in this area. ‘The occupants also fired 152 mm artillery, 82 mm mortars, IFVs, RPGs, heavy machine guns and small arms,’ Lysenko said. He added that in certain areas, hostile tanks and 120 mm mortars opened fire – most notably, near Novoluhanske, Lozove, Novhorodske, and Verkhnyotoretske.  

In general, the illegal armed units attacked Ukrainian positions 23 times.
