Two Donetsk residents imprisoned for anti-Ukrainian calls in networks

Separatists did not admit their guilt

Sloviansk city district court of Donetsk region found two Donetsk region residents guilty in committing the crime under Part 2 of Article 110 of the Criminal Court of Ukraine (encroachment on Ukraine's territorial integrity and inviolability) and sentenced them to five years of imprisonment. This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor’s Office of Donetsk region on Facebook page.

“During the hearings it was found out that in late February 2014 two citizens of Sloviansk district of Donetsk region of 1993 and 1994 year of birth created several groups in “Vkontakte” social net. Aiming to change the borders of Ukraine and providing information to “DPR” and “LPR” terrorist organizations, they started to post anti-Ukrainian materials in those groups,” the press service reported.

The criminal activity Defendants was stopped in April 2015 by the officers of the Security Service of Ukraine. They were arrested based on the petition of the Prosecutor’s Office.

During the trial the men have not admitted their guilt but it was fully proven by the state prosecution. Both men were sentenced for five years of imprisonment.

Earlier it was reported that five people were arrested for financing separatists in Kyiv region. Lawbreakers conducted pseudo export of food to the territory of Donbas that is not under control of Ukrainian government.
