The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, referring to eyewitnesses, reports about two injured passengers after shelling or undermining buses in the Olenovka village of the Volnovakhsky district of Donetsk region. This is stated on the official website of the department.
"From the people who cross the line of demarcation, the Ukrainian border guards became aware that in the vicinity of the village of Olenovka, two civilians - minivan passengers - were injured because of either shelling or exploding an unknown explosive device," reads the message.
"Now the circumstances of the emergency situation are being clarified, the information is being clarified. The border guards informed representatives of international organizations on the incient, "the report said.
Later at the Donbas conflict headquarters they denied the information disseminated by a number of Russian mass media that the Ukrainian Armed Forces allegedly fired a bus in the "gray zone" in the area of the Olenovka checkpoint on the territory of certain parts of the Donetsk region temporarily uncontrolled by the Ukrainian government.
"Information ... does not correspond to reality. According to operational information, a bus with civilians was fired by militants of illegal armed formations of the ORDO. According to local residents who at that time crossed the line of demarcation, as a result of these actions one civilian was killed, another one was wounded ", is reported on the page of the press center.
