Troops' disengagement in Zolote planned on October 9

Some local residents demand immediate separation of forces; others oppose it

The separation of forces has been moved up to October 9. The leadership of the Joint and Armed Forces of Ukraine, as the journalist of 112 Ukraine TV channel reported. 

According to the journalist, the withdrawal of troops can start at 12 p.m. on October 9. It is also known that the local residents stand against postponement and demand to start the separation as soon as possible. 

"Somebody believes that actually the separation of troops should be done as soon as possible and somebody, vice versa, is afraid of it as people do not know how this is going to end. Now the command of the Joint and Armed Forces try to calm people down and convey that there is no danger for the residents who will stay between the two sides. They do everything possible for public safety," the message says. 

As it was reported earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and government officials discussed the security situation in Donbas, in particular in the Zolote and Petrovske settlements, where troop withdrawal is planned.
