A new date for the next joint meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) has been officially set - the parties will meet on Wednesday, February 3. This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian delegation to the TCG.
They will discuss the implementation of the Minsk agreements and the results reached during the Paris summit. The issues of disengagement of forces, demining of the territories, and the establishment of truce are also on the agenda.
Prior to that, on Tuesday, February 2, working groups on security, as well as humanitarian, economic, and political issues are scheduled to hold their meetings.
As we reported earlier, the Kremlin states that Russia and the U.S. are currently facing serious differences in terms of the approach to the solution of the Donbas conflict.
"The used phrases reflect positions of the sides. Of course, different explanations show that there are serious differences in this regard. But the key thing is that there's a readiness to continue the dialogue to discuss these differences," said Dmitriy Peskov, the Russian presidential press secretary.
