Trilateral Contact Group on settling the situation on the east of Ukraine should develop proposals for the establishment of an armistice in the Joint Forces operation until June 19. The representative of Ukraine in the Trilateral Contact Group Leonid Kuchma said this at the session in Minsk, as Interfax-Ukraine reports this.
“Until (June, - ed.) 19, the group should develop such proposals. We should approve them on June 19,” Kuchma said.
Permanent Representative of Russia to the talks Boris Gryzlov reported to journalists on Wednesday that for two years of unsuccessful attempts the parties agreed to divide forces at the last of the pilot sites - Stanytsia Luhanska.
Thus, according to the report, an economical subgroup was given an instruction to discuss the restoration of economic ties in case Kyiv adopts a decision to lift the economic blockade of Donbas.
“In this regard, Donetsk and Luhansk have suggested concrete initiatives. We hope that a direct dialogue between Donetsk, Luhansk, and Kyiv will allow us to find mutually acceptable solutions within the framework of the economic work of the subgroup,” Gryzlov said.
At the same time, Kuchma stated that according to the reached agreement, the ceasefire regime in Stanytsia Luhanska would come into force since June 10.
Earlier, the second president of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma will lead the delegation of this country in the Minsk trilateral talks group; he'll represent Ukraine at the session of the group on June 5. President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that on a briefing on June 3.
