Today, on February 3, the members of the Trilateral Contact Group on Donbas (TCG) held an online meeting at the level of heads of delegations. The meeting was conducted without debate. This was reported by the press service of the Ukrainian delegation to the TCG.
The Ukrainian delegation intends to implement the following conditions: maintenance of a ceasefire in the region; provision of unimpeded access of ICRC and other international humanitarian organizations to detainees; release of detainees; free access to the entry-exit checkpoints (that is currently being blocked by the Russian side); finalization of the agreement on nineteen demining sites; finalization of the agreement on four new areas of disengagement; free and unimpeded access of the OSCE SMM to the entire territory of Ukraine.
Ukraine also intends to meet the basic technical conditions necessary for the resumption of full operation of the Schastia and Zolote checkpoints. The government will allocate shuttle buses to transport passengers across the demarcation line and to provide them with all necessary material and technical support.
As we reported earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stands for the creation of another format of negotiations that will include the United States and the Russian Federation.
