The sides of the Trilateral Contact Group on Donbas (TCG) have not succeeded to reach the agreement on the Easter truce and made a decision to continue consultations on this issue. Interfax-Ukraine reported that, citing Spokesperson of the Ukrainian delegation Oleksiy Arestovych.
“All sides have agreed on the necessity to establish Easter truce. Two texts of the document were offered – Ukrainian and Russian. However, we did not succeed to agree on the final text because there are sensitive formulations. We need to time to consider them well. However, the sides have agreed to continue consultations and they confirmed the idea of establishment of the Easter truce”, Arestovych noted.
Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) has almost completed truce negotiations in Donbas.
Meanwhile, Volodymyr Zelensky proposes to expand the Normandy format to seven countries. He wants the United States, Canada, and Britain to take part in the talks.
