Trilateral Contact Group comes to agreement on mine clearance in Stanytsia Luhanska premises

Trilateral contact group (TCG) in Minsk came to an agreement about the beginning of mine clearance of the adjoining territories of Stanytsia Luhanska bridge in eastern Ukraine. This was reported by press secretary of the TCG leader Darka Olifer on her Facebook.

“The Ukrainian side gave its suggestions relating to the bridge reconstruction in Stanytsia Luhanska. The reached agreements about mine clearance of the adjoining territories to the bridge would start from tomorrow. Before the start the checkpoint and symbols of ORDLO illegal military formations should be removed, the following restoration of fortification buildings in Stanytsia Luhanska region has to be simultaneous and clear,” Olifer wrote.

Besides, the TCG noted that the ceasefire set on July 21 was generally observed. There were no casualties among residents during this period. But the Ukrainian side stated non-implementation of the agreements relating to providing with safe access of OSCE SMM on the territories under the control of the Russian-backed militants.

“The humanitarian subgroup is still working on confirmation of the imprisoned people and preparing all necessary for their release. The work on missing persons is activated: the algorithm of identification and handing the human remains will be agreed on soon. The socio-economic subgroup is working on the Donbas life support issue,” the press secretary added.
