On Wednesday, December 22, the Trilateral Contact Group agreed to return to compliance with the ceasefire in Donbas. This is reported by the OSCE.

"In today’s meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group, with the participation of representatives of certain areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine, priority was given to the issue of security and, in particular, compliance with the ceasefire. I was delighted that participants expressed their strong determination to fully adhere to the Measures to Strengthen the Ceasefire agreement of 22 July 2020," the Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office in Ukraine and in the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG), Ambassador Mikko Kinnunen said.

The Ukrainian side has already welcomed this decision.

"The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Armed Forces of Ukraine welcome the agreement reached within the meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group on December 22, 2021 on the determination to fully comply with the ceasefire measures agreed on July 22, 2020," the statement said.
