The police of Donetsk region released the video of yesterday’s arrests of trade blockade activists at a redoubt in Kryvy Torets, Donetsk region. The video was taken from Facebook account of Natalya Shyman, the press secretary of the local branch of the National Police.
According to her, yesterday the police received a message from the SBU the state security service, as the workers found weapons at a redoubt located in Kryvy Torets.
‘The police attempted to check the holders’ licenses, to prevent any violations with the use of weapons and to maintain public safety. However, the activists resisted, threatened the police, telling them they would fire’, Shyman said. She added that 45 people were detained and later released.
The SBU seized eight units of small arms, two hand grenades, gun powder, detonators and ammo.
Yesterday, the staff of the trade blockade in Donbas reported that the redoubt in Kryvy Torets was destroyed, and the activists were dispersed. The staff accused the SBU and KORD, the police special task force.
The activists who began the trade blockade of the occupied areas of Donbas aim to cut off the pro-Russia militants from black trading with Ukraine. The government, on the other hand, says the blockade would hurt Ukraine's economy.
