The session of the Minsk talks group for peaceful settlement of Donbas conflict will take place today, February 1. However, it has been re-scheduled for 3 p.m., instead of the morning hours, as intended initially. Daria Olifer, the press secretary of Leonid Kuchma, ex-president and Ukraine’s member in the Group, said this as quoted by Interfax-Ukraine news agency.
‘The group session slated for yesterday never took place due to absence of representatives from Russia and the self-styled ‘republics’ of Donbas. Today’s session is scheduled for 3 p.m,’ she said.
Olifer added that the Ukrainian side already discussed the escalation in Avdiivka with OSCE top officials and military monitors from Ukraine and Russia in the Joint Control and Coordination Centre.
Earlier, Belarusian Foreign Ministry reported that the group’s session in Minsk would take place in the morning of February 1.
