The injured as a result of a mortar launchers explosion in Rivne region were evacuated in a local hospital, three of them were sent to Lviv by helicopters, as Valery Chernobryvets, the Deputy Head of Rivne military hospital, Colonel of medical service, informed, Rivne 1 informs.
“Three of them are in a medium-serious and serious condition. The nature of the injuries is minefield. Each had his nuances. The other six have wounds of different damage levels, some – of a mild level,” he stated.
Besides, the Colonel noted that after the injured received the medical assistance, it was decided to evacuate those who need the higher level of medical service. For now, they have arranged the evacuation to Rivne airport, form where the victims will be transferred to Lviv.
The teams of the Military Medical Clinical Centre are waiting for them there.
“Their lives are beyond danger, yet the condition remains critical,” Chernobryvets noted.
As we reported earlier, a dreadful incident occurred in Rivne region, northern Ukraine, with three Ukrainian army servicemen killed and nine more wounded. Later, the Defense Ministry specified that the death toll climbed to four. The authority confirmed that the reason was the violation of safety measures. According to Hennadiy Moskal, Zakarpattia region governor, the deceased men served with the 128th Detached Mountain Infantry Brigade; another four sustained wounds, he said.
