The public figures supporting cancelation of international sanctions against Russia either are naive or do not have enough information about the state of affairs in war-torn eastern Ukraine and in the Russian-annexed Crimea. Petro Poroshenko, the Ukrainian leader, said that in his commentary for Bild outlet.

'Everything is perfectly clear: we are not a part of the fancy Russian Empire, we are a sovereign state. I guess people like Mr. Hoeness (Ulrich Hoeness, the president of Bayern Munich FC, - 112 International) should visit Ukraine at least once - not Kyiv, but eastern Ukraine. And then, he will realize it's about one single thing: Putin should get his troops out of Ukraine', Poroshenko said.

Earlier, Hoeness supported the foreign policy of Russian leader Vladimir Putin; this caused an outrage of the Ukrainian side, specifically, the foreign ministry. 'I have a very clear vision of Russia. We, the Germans, are making a huge mistake by attacking that country all the time. It's going to be a lot better if we cooperate. Aggression will change nothing. I don't think the responsibility for Crimea's history rests solely with Russians, while the NATO closes in', he said.
