Pro-Kremlin militants of the so-called DPR beat the captives; the ex-prisoner Ihor Kozlovsky said that in an interview with 112 Ukraine TV channel.
According to Kozlovsky, the militants allegedly found two grenades and demanded that he recognize these grenades belonged to him.
‘Most of the time, they beat me up, used something to hit me to the head – I didn’t see what exactly, because I had a sack on my head. It lasted for several hours. They played the Russian roulette with me, putting the gun against my head and pulling the firing cock. I could not see so I would always listen to my blood boiling, my pain growing stronger, my heart pounding desperately. The heart ran rough… They shouted: ‘It’s the Russian world that beats you’, he said.
Ihor Kozlovsky is the famous Ukrainian scientist who appeared to be among the captives of pro-Kremlin militants. He spent almost two years in captivity and was released on December 27, along with another 73 Ukrainian citizens.
