‘Most of the time, they beat me up, used something to hit me to the head – I didn’t see what exactly, because I had a sack on my head. It lasted for several hours. They played the Russian roulette with me, putting the gun against my head and pulling the firing cock. I could not see so I would always listen to my blood boiling, my pain growing stronger, my heart pounding desperately. The heart ran rough… They shouted: ‘It’s the Russian world that beats you’, he said.
