Russian militants use electrocution and constant death threats against prisoners of war. Ihor Yakovenko, the former POW said this in his interview with 112 Ukraine TV channel.
'They tortured me, electrocuted me and applied psychological pressure. They told me 'We'll shoot you in the arms and legs' or things like 'we'll drop you off at a minefield and see if you can survive,' he said.
'Once, I was offered to make a choice - either I tell them something of interest or they cut my head off. I couldn't think of anything, I had a total mess in my head. The man who threatened me came back to me and asked if I had anything to say. When I said no, he told the other guys to hold me because there will be a lot of blood. He was a really hysterical kind of a person. Eventually, I told him I'll find something to share', Yakovenko said.
