Martin Sajdik, the Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office in the Trilateral Contact Group claimed that the sides of the conflict did not determine the date of the prisoners’ exchange as Interfax-Ukraine reported.
‘The humanitarian subgroup discussed the technical matters connected to the issue of the prisoners’ exchange. The sides did not determine the date of the exchange’, Sajdik claimed.
At the same time, he emphasized that the sides obliged to hold the exchange of the prisoners until the Christmas and New Year’s holidays.
Iryna Gerashchenko, the representative of the humanitarian subdivision of the Minsk Trilateral Group announced the most large-scale exchange of the prisoners until the New Year.
Earlier the pro-Russian militants of the so-called Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) and Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) agreed to transfer 74 prisoners to the Ukrainian side.
