Kurt Volker, the U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine, wrote on his Twitter that Donbas a dangerous territory because Russia’s troops are located on the occupied territories.
It should be noted that this way Volker commented on the disquietude of the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine concerning the SMM OSCE information about a risk of radioactive waste contamination in Donbas.
As I’ve said before, the only place in Ukraine where Russian-speakers are at risk is where there are Russian soldiers. And now a new risk: https://t.co/9YxUE796jX

The representatives of the U.S. Embassy stated that they were worried about the information on the radioactive waste contamination, created by the “Russia’s satellites in Donbas”.
Concerned about reports of radioactive waste contamination caused by Russian proxies in Donbas -- major health and environmental risk. #Russia needs to end the conflict to improve lives for #Donbas residents. https://t.co/SdCXSuOrl0 @OSCE_SMM @SpecRepUkraine

As it was reported earlier, Kurt Volker demanded Russia and its militants to stop threatening the OSCE observers. This statement was a reaction to the incident which occurred near Kreminets (Donetsk region), occupied by the militants on April 5. Russian troops did not allow the OSCE observers to launch the unmanned aircraft and threatened them with weapons.
