Petro Poroshenko said that on January 10, the Tripartite Contact Group will hold a new stage of negotiations on the exchange of Ukrainian hostages for the Donbas militants. This was announced by the President of Ukraine during his visit to the liberated Ukrainian military in the Kyiv military hospital.
"I want to say that I have already instructed my advisors, representatives of the TCG, that they should immediately organize meetings and continue the negotiations. I can say that on the 10th day (January, - Ed.) we will have the first meeting".
Also, the president asked the military to give all possible support to Ukrainians, who continue to be held hostages by militants: write letters, communicate with their relatives.
As reported, on December 27 a wide exchange of prisoners between Ukraine and the ORDO took place in Donbas. 73 Ukrainian hostages returned home. 233 people were transferred to the occupied territory.
