The phone talks between Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia and leaders of the occupied Donbas only prove that the so-called Donetsk People’s Republic and Luhansk People’s Republic are the gatekeepers of Russia. Yury Grymchak, the Deputy Minister of Temporarily Occupied Territories claimed this to 112 Ukraine.
According to him, the discussion of the prisoners’ exchange by Russia and militants is the obvious evidence of the support of the terrorist formations by Russia.
‘It witnesses that the DPR and LPR are only the gatekeepers of Russia. It was clear before but now we have an example of the all that is happening’, he claimed.
He expressed the hope that the prisoners’ exchange will take place in the result of the talks.
‘Any steps to the release of our hostages are right. It is good news if our people will be released on the result of it regardless the circumstances’, Grymchak concluded.
President of Russia Vladimir Putin promised to discuss the issue of exchanging Donbas detainees with the commanders of the Russia-backed militants in Donbas on November 15. It is noted that it was pro-Russian Ukrainian politician Viktor Medvedchuk who addressed President Putin on the issue.
Earlier OSCE claimed that the final lists of the detainees of the Donbas conflict to be exchanged are not ready yet. It was added that the difficulties could occur as new detainees on both sides appeared.
According to the latest data of Iryna Gerashchenko, the representative of Ukraine at Minsk Talks, 152 people are detained by the pro-Russian militant. Moreover, about two dozens of the Ukrainian are kept in Russia as the political prisoners.
