Roman Sushchenko, the Ukrainian reporter illegally detained in Russia, has examined all 12 volumes of the criminal case against him. Mark Feygin, Sushchenko’s lawyer reported that on Tuesday. He added that he and the defendant plan to look into the evidence now, which would take the rest of the week.
Suschenko was detained in September 2016 at an airport in Moscow. He was charged with espionage in favor of the Ukrainian intelligence. Since then, Sushchenko has been kept in jail. Ukraine has repeatedly appealed to the Russian Federation with a demand to immediately release the journalist.
