Residents of temporarily occupied Donbas with Russian passports on September 17, 18 and 19 will be taken to Rostov region to participate in the Russian parliamentary election campaign. The Eastern Human Rights Group announced this on its Facebook page.

"On September 17, 18, 19, voting in the State Duma of the Russian Federation will take place. Residents of occupied Donbas who have Russian passports will be taken to Rostov region to vote. On September 17, 18, 19, the border will only work for those who go to vote," the message reads.

Those residents of Donbas who just do not have a passport of the Russian Federation will not be allowed to cross the border.

"The admission of persons who do not have a Russian passport or pursue other goals will not be carried out," the human rights activists said.

Meanwhile, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) observes the massive illegal issuance of Russian passports in the temporarily occupied Donbas. According to the press office of the SBU, the local "government" of Donetsk and Luhansk "people's republics" is doing this to make sure that Ukrainians participate in the Russian parliamentary election campaign.

"The organizers act in the breach of norms of international law and deprive "the new citizens" of social guarantees," reads the message.
