Ukraine’s border guards reported that the convoy was booked solely by the Russian side. As it crossed the border via Russian checkpoint Donetsk, pro-Russian militants didn’t let Ukrainian observers duly inspect the content of the vans. ‘It was rude violation of international and Ukrainian law, and the breach of respective agreement with the Red Cross’, reads the message. According to the state service, the convoy consisted of 45 vehicles.
