Stanytsia Luhanska checkpoint's main power supply source temporarily off grid

It is a scheduled measure; reserve power supply sources are plugged in, so the entry-exit procedures are performed normally

The main power supply source of entry-exit checkpoint in Stanytsia Luhanska has been cut off the grid. Press service of Ukraine's State Border Guard reported that on Wednesday morning.

'The power shutdown is to last from 8.30 a.m. till 4.30 p.m. The border guards of Lysychansky unit who represent the Joint Forces provided the checkpoint with reserve power supply sources. The checkpoint will be working as scheduled', the message said.

The entry-exit operations across the checkpoint began on the winter schedule.

The Border Guard reported an increase in the passenger flow compared with that observed on February 17. 34.6 thousand people and 4,100 vehicles crossed the checkpoint.

Earlier, we reported that a foreign delegation of Norwegian diplomats came to the government-held section of Luhansk region. Ole Terje Horpestad and members of the Norwegian Council for Refugees Affairs came there to inspect the operation of Stanytsia Luhanska checkpoint. The delegation visited the only checkpoint working in Luhansk region, studied the order of crossing the division line, the level of passenger flow and other specifics of this checkpoint.
