Stanytsia Luhanska checkpoint (Ukraine-controlled area of Luhansk region) will be closed for maintenance works. The press service of Luhansk regional administration reported that on Facebook.

'Starting on August 6, the service zone of entry-exit checkpoint of Stanytsia Luhanska will be undertaking refurbishment works. It will keep running; the local residents should be advised that the checkpoint will work as usual', said Yuriy Klymenko, the deputy head of the authority.

The entry-exit operations will be suspended from August 27 till August 31, if the parties to the Minsk talks group decide so during the next session, which is slated for August 22. During the time, maintenance workers will set the temporary constructions on the premises, and plug them in to the local electricity and water supply systems.

According to Klymenko, the technical crews already finished working on the centralized water supply system, the internal electric grid and the playground for children. A local roadway, which lies adjacent to the checkpoint, will be fixed soon as well.
