Sociology: Half of Ukrainians wait for ceasefire in Donbas

50% of Ukrainians wait for a ceasefire in Donbas from the president, as a survey carried out by sociological group Rating shows.

According to the survey, over a month the level of expectation of ceasefire increased by 3%. In June, 50% of respondents expect that, in May – 47%.

38% (37% in May) of the population expect tariffs decrease, 22% of the respondents expect a reduction of the impact of oligarchs on the politics.

It should be noted that expectations of Ukrainians concerning the punishment of officials on corruption reach 22% in comparison with 19% in May and lifting of the parliamentary immunity – 21% compared with 17% in May.

7% of the citizens wait for Crimea’s return.

The survey was conducted on June 8-12, 2019 among Ukraine’s population at the age of 18 and older. The data was collected from a representative sample of age, regions, population type. Sample: 2000 respondents. The survey was carried out by using a face-to-face interview. Representativeness error: no higher than 2,2%.
