So-called ‘Interior Minister of DNR’ sentenced to 12 years of imprisonment

The so-called ‘Interior Minister of DNR’ was sentenced in absentia to 12 years of imprisonment. This was reported in Facebook by the press secretary of the Prosecutor General Larysa Sargan.

"On Tuesday, June 6, Dzerzhinsky City Court of the Donetsk region convicted the former deputy head of the department and head of the anti-trafficking department of Internal Ministry in Donetsk region,” she wrote.

It was found out that in May-June 2014 Oleksiy Dykyi together with the representatives of the ‘DNR’ participated in seizure of the administrative building of the Chief Administration in Fight with the Organized Crime in Donetsk.

“Having remained on temporarily militants-run territory, the traitor policeman became a member of the terrorist organization ‘DNR’. So, in 2014 the former militiaman was appointed as the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the DNR’. And already in early 2015, after he got the title of "Hero of the DNR", Oleksiy Dykyi took up the post of the so-called ‘Minister of Internal Affairs of the DNR terrorist organization’,” Sargan wrote.

The court supported the position of the state prosecutor and found citizen Oleksiy Dykyi guilty of a criminal offense under Part 1 of Article 258-3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (participation in a terrorist organization) and sentenced him in absentia to 12 years of imprisonment.

Earlier it was reported that ‘DNR referendum’ organizer was sentenced to 5 years of imprisonment. The man headed ‘district commission’ in one of the villages of the region.
