Sniper killed today in ATO zone had Russian passport with him. This was reported by the press officer of 72nd Detached Mechanized Brigade Olena Mokrenchuk on air of 112 Ukraine TV channel.
“He had (sniper) a passport, military ID of the so-called “DPR” and weapons. Judging from his qualification it’s clear that he was a high class professional. But he was eliminated and his life ended here with shame,” Mokrenchuk said.
“Our soldiers saw somebody approaching them, reported this to the commander, he gave the order to shoot,” she said.
Commenting on the situation in ATO, she said:
“About the situation at the moment, we have just been to industrial zone, there are some arrivals.”
Earlier it was reported that a clash with snipers occured in ATO zone, one attacker was killed. Militants shelled 69 time during the past day and night.
