A soldier of the 57th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, senior lieutenant Dmytro Syvokon, who was seriously wounded in Donbas a week earlier, died in Kharkiv. This was announced by the first commander of a special unit of the military law enforcement service, Vadym Muzyukin on his Facebook page.
"It was possible with you both in fire and in water! Thank you for service, my friend !!! Today, a true patriot of Ukraine, senior lieutenant Dmytro Syvokon, died from his severe injuries. Eternal peace to you, brother. Rest in peace, " Muzyukin wrote.
The soldier was taken to a medical facility in critical condition last week after the shelling in Luhansk region.
Doctors reported significant wounds: legs excised by shrapnel, shrapnel in the neck, pneumothorax, shrapnel in the lungs.
As we reported earlier, the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine protested due to the approval of the decision on involvement of the population of occupied Donbas in the elections to the Russian State Duma via electronic voting.
“Such actions of the Russian side along with the illegal organization of the elections to the State Duma in the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol constitute a flagrant violation of norms and principles of international law, the Constitution of Ukraine and Ukrainian legislation in force,” the message says.
