Martin Sajdik, the Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office in the Trilateral Contact Group claimed that the members of the task security group expressed the adherence to observe the overall and stable ceasefire-regime in Donbas as the website of the OSCE reported.
‘In accordance with the statement of the Trilateral Contact Group dated on December 20, 2017, the members of the task group confirmed the adherence to observe the overall and stable ceasefire-regime one more time. At the same time they emphasized one more time the necessity of the issuance and observance of the proper decrees, including the necessity of the disciplinary sanctions in the case of the violation of the cease-fire regime’, Sajdik said.
According to the OSCE representative, the provision of the further observance of the ceasefire-regime became the main topic of the video-conference of the subgroup on the security that took place on January 29.
He noted that the members of the subgroups also discussed the issues concerning the disengagement of the forces, assignment of the heavy weaponry and de-mining.
As we reported the Trilateral Contact Group on Donbas agreed on a new ceasefire regime in the zone of the armed Donbas Conflict since the midnight of December 23rd. However, the militants violate the truce every day.
