Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) published the record of the conversation between Russian PMC Wagner mercenaries’ head Dmitry Utkin and Russia’s Armed Forces general Yevgeni Nikiforov with a cover-name “Tambov’. This was reported by the SBU press service.

Judging from the record, Dmitry Utkin and Yevgeni Nikiforov discuss the advancement of militants and military equipment of PMC Wagner to combat positions.

As it was reported earlier, PMC Wagner is an illegal military group of Russian Federation. Its militants took part in armed hostilities in Donbas and in Syria. It is known that this group appeared in 2013 on the basis of the so-called Slavonic Corps. In spring 2014,  the military group illegally operated in Crimea on Russian side, later – on the territory of Luhansk region and now it participates in the conflict in Syria.

The head of the PMC Wagner is the Russian reserve lieutenant colonel Dmitry Utkin with the call sign "Wagner". It was reported that the PMC Wagner was involved in the liquidation of the "LNR" terrorists Aleksandr Bednov and Aleksey Mozgovoy. 

On January 22, Russian-occupational forces continued armed provocations and used arms that should have been withdrawn from the contact line under the Minsk Protocol. Overall, the enemy launched six aimed attacks since midnight. One soldier of the Ukrainian Armed Forces died in an attack.
