Counter-intelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine identified two 'DNR' militants, the war criminals. The culprits are suspected in violating laws and customs of war. Their names are not revealed, the SBU press service reported. 

"It is found out that two residents of Donetsk region joined the illegal armed units in 2014. While serving as "commanders" of the so-called Vostok battallion, thay actively participated in fights near Panteleimonivka and Betmanovo", reads the message.

According to the investigation, the criminals msitreated the captives, applied physical and psychological pressure and did not tend to the wounded.

Currently, the suspects are fleeing from justice on the territory of separate districts in Donetsk and Luhansk regions. They are accused of offending Ukraine's territorial integrity, memberrship in a terrorist group, participation in illegal armed formation and violating the laws and customs of war.

The Vostok battalion is an illegal armed formation created in 2014. It is part of the so-called DNR. The commander is Aleksadr Khodakovsky, who in turn subordinated to orders of the self-styled "minister of defense of DNR". A lot of fighters are local residents who decided to join the mercenaries.
