Scheduled for October 9 withdrawal of troops and equipment in the area of Stanitsa Luganska will not take place. This told the head of the Luhansk military and civil administration Yuri Garbuz on the TV channel "112 Ukraine".
"The risk of loss of Stanitsa was very high. Because, first of all, is not observed the Minsk agreement, militants attack us. I think that we will understand in the near future how to observe the Minsk agreement and at the same time, not to lose Stanitsa Luganska ", - he said.
The Defense Ministry confirmed that the planned withdrawal of troops and facilities in Stanitsa Luganska postponed indefinitely. This was stated by the speaker of Ministry of Defence Andriy Lysenko during the briefing, which was broadcasted by "112 Ukraine".
It is noted that the withdrawal of the parties disrupted due to attacks on militants, which is a violation of the framework agreement.
"Given the systematic violation of the regime of silence and failure to comply with the framework decision from the militants' side, Ukrainian side forced postponement of the withdrawal of forces and means in the area near Stanitsa Luganska," - said Lysenko.
The agreement on the withdrawal of the parties indicate that this process must be preceded by 7 days without attacks.
