Workers of the SBU, Ukraine’s state security service seized Russian-made weapon, left behind at the firing positions in Donetsk region. The service’s press department reported that on March 7.

‘Another piece of evidence that there are Russian troops in Ukraine. The special services seized a man-portable flamethrower Shmel, which was abandoned by the pro-Russian militants of the self-styled Donetsk People’s Republic, as they retreated from the battlefield after a fight with the Ukrainian forces,’ the press department said.

The SBU insisted that the Ukrainian military does not possess such weapon, which is made in Russia and used solely by the Russian regular army.

Another weapon of the same kind was found near Avdiivka, Donetsk region, in late February.
