SBU detains Crimean official of occupation authority at the administrative border with Ukraine

The so-called 'former Deputy Sports Minister' of occupation Ministers Council was detained by the SBU at the 'Kalanchak' checkpoint at the administrative border with temporary occupied Crimea. It is reported on the official website of the SBU.

According to the Security Service of Ukraine, the detained malefactor was a Ukrainian civil servant. He was a deputy head of the self-proclaimed Sports Ministry of Crimea. Later he was a member of the task group on creation of program 'Patriotic upbringing of the citizens of Russia in the Republic of Crimea' that was implemented with the support of the occupation authorities.

According to the recent data, the malefactor was a member of the Russian public governmental organization 'Voluntary community of the support of army, aircraft and fleet of Russia' at the moment of the detention. He was a secretary of the regional department. The activity of the organization aims to destroy the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine.

The officers investigated that the detained person planned a visit from occupied Crimea to Kherson on private business. He was detained during the passing of the checkpoint at the administrative border. The Prosecutor's Office o the Autonomous Republic of Crimea opened the criminal proceeding qualified as state treason.
