Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko announced the number of terrorists and saboteurs detained last year by the Security Service of Ukraine. Poroshenko spoke of this during his speech dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the creation of the Security Service of Ukraine.
“The Security Service of Ukraine prevented more than 30 terrorist attacks and detained 56 terrorist and sabotage-reconnaissance groups, exposed 15 attempts to put the explosives. The Service caught 46 persons involved in the international terror and extremist organizations, 15 of them were in the Interpol wanted list. The hybrid war dialectics requires new forms of resistance against the aggressor from us,” noted the President.
According to the Head of the State, Russia’s attempts to deliver a “stab in the back” bring the danger to weaken Ukraine from inside and to deprive it from it’s will and potential for further development.
According to the President, the SBU fired more than 2 000 of its employees.
