The threats of the number of the Russian political to “destroy the Armed Forces of Ukraine within minutes” are groundless and propaganda as General Staff reported on Facebook citing Viktor Muzhenko, the Chief of General Staff.

“There is no use to react at such statements, which are propaganda. If they (Russian officials) could solve Ukrainian issue as they see it, they will do it. They tried in 2014 and understood that it is not so easy. Those events showed the sustainability of the community and reminded that Ukraine has great historical experience of the fight against foreign invaders. The events of 2014 and increase of the capabilities of the Armed Forces in 2015-2018, which we continue to build up this year, are, possibly, the most persuasive factor for the deterrence of the Russian aggression,” he said.
