The government of Russia transferred the earlier nationalized Sevastopol Shipyard named after Ordzhonikidze and owned by President Poroshenko to the federal property. It is stated on the website of the Russian government as Economic Truth reported.
'The decision on the transfer of 'Sevastopol Shipyard named after Ordzhonikidze' from the ownership of Sevastopol to the federal property with the definition of the department participation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia is confirmed', the decree stated.
'The plant performs work and provides the services for the assurance of the defensive capacity of the country; also, it is the co-contractor of the state contracts on the repair of the ships and vessels of the naval forces and the production and repair of the civilian marine facilities', the message said.
According to the statement, the government included the plant into the consolidated register of the organizations of the defense industry complex of Russia.
'The made decision will speed up the integration of the plant into the defense industry complex of Russia and provide the full-rate load of the production capacities'.
The so-called 'authorities' of Sevastopol made a decision to nationalize Sevastopol Shipyard in February 2015.

Sevastopol Shipyard specialized at the shipbuilding and repair of the vessels. The plant is situated at two manufacturing areas with the total square of 53 hectares.
