The violations of Russian in occupied Crimea are qualified as the military crimes. Mustafa Dzhemilev, the MP and Presidential Envoy on Rights of Crimean Tatars claimed this at the briefing broadcasted by 112 Ukraine.

‘All these violations are qualified as the military crimes. Our goal and first of all the goal of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea is to spot all these crimes and then file the lawsuits to the International court. Talking about the implementation of the extension of the International court, there was an interim decision of the International court mostly on the racial discrimination in April 2017. It was recognized that Russia illegally banned the Mejlis of Crimean Tatars and recommended to renew its activity in the near future’, Dzhemilev claimed.

‘Russia traditionally responded and said that it is not right and everything is well. However, according to our information, they began to consider the possibilities to satisfy the decision of the International court and to do nothing at the same time. Particularly, they request Moscow is it possible to create the same organization, that will be called the Mejlis of Crimean Tatars and announce that they fulfilled the decision of the International court’, Dzhemilev said.

As we reported UN International Court of Justice published the full text of decision on Ukraine’s application against Russia on April 19, 2017. In particular, the court denied temporary measures against Russia under the Convention for the Suppression of the Financing of Terrorism.
