During the military exercises in occupied Crimea, Russian troops worked out the processes of landing of personnel and combat equipment. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Federation Ministry of Defense.
"In the course of the practical training of combat operations that started today at the Opuk firing range, a total of about 350 paratroopers, 9 combat vehicles BMD-2KU and several containers with military equipment were landed from 9 IL-76 aircrafts on the landing site," said the commander of Russian Airborne Forces Andrei Serdyukov.
According to him, the landing of personnel and equipment passed regularly.
Further Russian Federation plans to work out a landing of sea paratroopers on the unequipped coast and tactical paratroopers from helicopters on the Crimean peninsula.
