Russian militants opened fire from small arms in the area of Shumy, Donetsk region, where the inspection of Ukrainian army positions was supposed to take place. Press office of the Joint Forces Operation HQ reported that on September 10.
"Today, at 2.15 p.m., militants opened fire from small arms on Ukrainian positions in the vicinities of Shumy. The attack was adjusted, aimed at the section where the meeting of representatives of the Joint Control and Coordination Centre and the OSCE was supposed to take place", reads the message.
Earlier, we reported that on September 9, members of Trilateral Contact Group agreed to conduct the joint inspection of Ukrainian army emplacements in the area of Shumy, in Donetsk region. The inspection was supposed not to let any disruptions of full ceasefire in Donbas combat area. The problem was supposed to take place on September 10 at 2 p.m., but then, it was canceled. The Ukrainian side blamed the militants.
