Since the beginning of the day, Russian mercenaries
have once breached the ceasefire in Donbas, shelling Ukrainian positions near Vodyane. Ukraine's Defense Ministry reported that on early Monday.
The occupants opened fire from an under-barrel grenade launcher and small arms.
The attack did not pose any threat to the lives of Ukrainian servicemen; the Armed Forces did not return fire.
None of the soldiers of Ukraine's government forces were killed or wounded in action.
Local elections in the occupied territories of Donbas
could be held under the single-constituency system. Leonid Kravchuk, the head of Ukraine's delegation in Trilateral Contact Group said so in an interview with TASS
According to the official, the Ukrainian Parliament was ready to develop the special law on the elections in Donbas. But these could only take place after the Ukrainian government restores control over the occupied areas and the section of the border, which are currently held by Russian militants.
Kravchuk added that in the current circumstances, such a local election would be impossible.
