Russia accuses Ukraine's military officers of shelling of the settlements on the occupied territories

Russian Investigation Committee opened criminal cases against Ukrainian soldiers because of the alleged shelling of the settlements on the occupied territories and usage of prohibited methods of warfare. This was reported on the site of the Investigation Committee of Russian Federation.

Ukrainian soldiers allegedly shelled Kadiivka (former Stahanov) and Holubivka (Former Kirovsk) on January 14 and 24, 2017, according to the Committee.  

“As a result of the shelling two civilians were killed. Kirov central multidisciplinary city hospital’s building was seriously damaged,” the message says.

Occupants also accused soldiers of Ukraine’s Army and National Guard of shelling from heavy weapons of civilian infrastructure facilities in Yasynuvata, Dokuchaevsk and Novoazovsk district near Donetsk region on February 16-26. Criminal cases were opened under Part 1, Article 356 of the Criminal Code of the Russian  Federation.

Earlier it was reported that US State Department urged Russia to immediately establish ceasefire regime in Donbas. US condemned shelling of the OSCE mission by pro-Russia militants.
