Russian court extends arrest for abducted Ukrainian border guards

The arrest for Ukrainian border guards was extended for another 2 months, until February 5, 2018

Lefortovo district court of Moscow left in the pretrial detention center the abducted Ukrainian border guards Bohdan Martsonia and Ihor Dziubak, reports UNIAN.

According to the agency, the judge Elena Galikhanova prolonged the arrest for another 2 months, until February 5, 2018.

Separate hearing were held for each Ukrainian. The trial lasted no more than 10 minutes. The judge spent in the advisory room about three seconds.

As it was reported earlier two employees of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine disappeared on Tuesday in Sumy region near the border with Russia, reported the press service of the department.

"Two officers of the Znob-Novhorodske border guard department of the Sumy border detachment monitored the border section yesterday. At about 8:00 pm the connection with them was lost. At the moment, the State Border Service is currently searching for missing servicemen and trying to locate," the statement said.

Russia officially confirmed the detention of two officers of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine that earlier disappeared near the border with Russia.
