The so-called 61st humanitarian convoy consisting of 25 trucks is headed to the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, reports Russian Emergency Service.
Approximately 300 tons of the cargo is in the trucks, and that is mainly food packages for children, according to the agency.
Before the arrival to the border, the column will separate. One of them will head to the “Donetsk” checkpoint, and the other one – to the “Matveev Kurgan” checkpoint.
The humanitarian convoy has already crossed the Ukrainian border, according to the Ukraine’s State Border Guard Service.
“This morning, Russian side once again unilaterally arranged (sixty first) so-called humanitarian convoy...In total, two columns of the so-called humanitarian convoy consisting of 25 cars passed from 5:25 to 6:15 thorough Russian checkpoints “Donetsk” and “Matveev Kurgan” . The trucks are supposedly carry children food,” the message says.
As the humanitarian convoy transition was conducted with major violations of international, domestic law and the agreed with the International Committee of the Red Cross modalities, Ukrainian interagency group exercised only visual observation without performing control functions, it was reported.
The humanitarian convoy is allegedly headed to Donetsk and Luhansk, but it is not for sure, according to Ukraine’s Border Guard Service assistant head Oleh Slobodyan on air of 112 Ukraine TV channel.
