Russia-backed militants fired small arms and hit a civilian bus not far from Olenivka village, located in the occupied area of Donetsk region. Leonid Matyukhin, the speaker of anti-terrorist operation staff, posted this at Facebook. ‘The bus that was on its way from Olenivka to Donetsk took damage from the bullets fired from the direction of positions of illegal armed units,’ Matyukhin wrote.
A local woman was wounded during the attack.
The anti-terrorist operation staff surmises the incident could be another attempt by the militants to discredit Ukrainian troops while the OSCE mission’s deputy leader is present in that area.
