The 98th humanitarian convoy arrived in the occupied part of Donbas and the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine responded to it with the note of protests as the ministry’s press service reported.
“Ignoring previously expressed numerous warning of the Ukrainian side, without its official agreements, with violation of the legislation of Ukraine, terms and modalities for the supply of the humanitarian aid, which were earlier agreed between Ukraine, Russia and the International Red Cross Committee, the Russian side illegally supplied in the territory of Ukraine the so-called humanitarian convoy for the population of temporarily occupied by Russia territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine,” the message said.
The Ukrainian border guards had no possibility to check the Russian freight, which was supplied to Donbas through checkpoints Donetsk and Matveyev Kurgan and closed checkpoints Izvarino and Uspenka.
Due to it, Kyiv sent the protest note to the Foreign Ministry of the Russian Federation. The Ukrainian diplomats demand from Moscow to observe strictly their international commitments, including bilateral agreements, earlier agreed modalities of supply of the humanitarian cargo. Ukraine demands from Russians to process the humanitarian cargo in accordance with its legislation and through the checkpoints controlled by Ukraine.
In July, 97th so-called humanitarian convoy arrived in Donbas from the Russian Federation. The vans carried 141 tons of medications and medical property. 65 tons of cargo was unloaded in Donetsk, and another 76 - in Luhansk.
