Russia officially recognized DNR and LNR passports valid

The decree of President of Russian Federation ststes that this decision is temporary

The Russian Federation recognized as valid passports issued by the authorities of the so-called DNR and LNR. The corresponding decree was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin and later posted on the website of the Russian President.

"For the period before political settlement of the situation in some regions of Donetsk and Lugansk regions of Ukraine and on the basis of the Minsk agreements: Russian Federation recognizes as valid identity documents, documents on education and (or) on the qualifications, birth certificate, marriage (termination of marriage), name change, death, the certificate of registration of vehicles, registration plates of vehicles, issued by the appropriate bodies (organizations) actually acting on the territory of these areas, for its holders - citizens of Ukraine and stateless persons permanently residing in these territories ",  the document says.

It is noted that on the basis of documents issued in DNR and LNR, enter to Russia is  allowed for their holders.

The decree comes into force from the date of its signing.
