The representatives of Russia at the Trilateral Contact Group insist on holding of joint inspections in Donbas, despite numerous reports of the OSCE SMM that the current ceasefire regime really acts, excluding individual cases of violations as Ukrinform reported citing Ukraine’s Permanent Representatives at international organizations in Vienna Yevhen Tsymbalyuk.

“Russia, in exchange, demands holding of the so-called joint inspections to check the reports and conclusions of the OSCE. Let me make it clear: Ukraine has full confidence in the OSCE and it highly appreciates important report of the SMM,” Tsymbalyuk.

On September 30, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky officially removed Vitold Fokin from the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) on Donbas.

Earlier, First Deputy of the Ukrainian delegation Fokin stated that he does not see the evidence of the war between Ukraine and Russia. In his turn, Interior Minister of Ukraine Arsen Avakov urged the government to send Vitold Fokin off "back to his retirement" so that the official would not represent Ukraine in the Minsk talks group again.
