Russia increased its troops gradually starting from the whole period of the combat actions in Donbas

Russia increases the number of troops along the Ukrainian-Russian border step by step as Hromadske reported citing Commander of HQ of Joint Forces Operation Major General Bogdan Bondar.

“It takes place in Kharkiv direction and closer to Mariupol. We see a particular extension,” he commented.

Bondar explained that Russia increased its troops gradually starting from the whole period of the combat actions in Donbas. However, at the initial stages, the Russian side did not have such possibility, as there were no firing ranges and place for location of the military units. They built the territory and almost finished the construction of the railway with time.

“In other words, they built the military infrastructure to make the movement of the troops and means possible in short terms, including to the particular regions,” Bondar noted.

On June 26, it was reported that the first stage of the withdrawal of Ukrainian units under the supervision of the OSCE mission took place in the Stanytsia Luhanska.

Later it was reported that the disengagement of troops in Stanytsia Luhanska is an improvement of the Armed Forces in this section of the combat area.

On June 28, the OSCE SMM observers confirmed that the withdrawal of the troops took place near Stanytsia Luhanska, from both sides, Armed Forces of Ukraine and militants.
